Parents the world over have read this book and discovered the great joy of teaching their babies, toddlers, or preschoolers and giving them the gift of literacy. Reading, say the authors, is not a subject like geography, but a brain function like seeing and hearing. This exciting book presents a revolutionary idea: that tiny children should be given the opportunity to learn when it is easiest for them to absorb new information, from birth to six.

In the future sending 1 catalog per book would be helpful. As I give your books away for free to new mothers everywhere. I raised my girls using your books and they are in their 30's now. One coworker I gave to said all three of his kids are two grades advanced.
Thanks and have a great day

Excellent book and updated. I taught my kids years ago with the original one and now I bought the book for each of my children
I found this book over 40 years ago when my son was 18 months old.
First of all, it's a VERY enjoyable and a very easy read.
I devoured every page and the information so resonated with me that I dug deeper to find out if there was more. That led me to attend a Better Baby Course at the Institutes in 1980. What I learned through this book and at that course changed my life and how I see children and learning. I can't tell you the number of books I've purchased for friends and family!!
Don't hesitate!!
My daughter is 17 months old and she loves words. After reading this book a few months ago, we began the program right away. She was soon speaking over 50 words. After beginning sentences with her, I was shocked when I asked her to point to the sentence that said "The wall is gray" and she did it! Since then, we had added many more words and sentences using the protocol laid out in this program. She loves books and begs me to read to her. I am so glad to have discovered this book!
It's true - little children really can learn to read AND enjoy the process! We used this book with our sons and found it really helpful. I highly recommend it! Important tip: As the book clearly states, do not be tempted to test your child or have him show off his reading skills to impress others. Follow the book's advice and make learning to read a natural, joyous process!
